Room E102
Center for Natural Sciences (40K tournament building)
This year
well be trying something new, and adding LAN (Local Area Network)
based computer games to the festivities. Only multiplayer games
are being considered for play. The games will be hosted and ran
just like any other game at Flatcon,
meaning the game name and time will be posted in the same manner
that the non-computer games are. In between official gaming runs,
a limited amount of time will allocated for personal use if anyone
wishes to check email, surf the web, or anything of the like.
Games being
hosted include, but are not limited to
-
Diablo / Diablo 2
-
Warcraft
-
Starcraft
-
Dungeon Siege
-
M.U.D. (Multi User Dungeon)
-
Neverwinter
Nights
-
Quake
-
Unreal Tournament
More games
may be considered, some games may be removed.
The LAN Party
is being hosted free of charge to registered
Flatcon attendees, thanks to U.H.A.C.C. (Unix Hobbyist,
Administrators and Coders Club), a non-for-profit local computer
users group that focuses on alternative operating systems and Open
Source software.

Representatives from U.H.A.C.C. will be on hand to answer
questions about Open-Source software, focusing on the Linux
Operating System.

That out of

about a possible Install Fest will be posted along with game
times.
