What units can you take?
Units may be selected according to the following chart for each 1,000 point army:
- 0-1 Lord (max one Lord per team)
- 0-2 Heroes
- 2 Max characters
Special Characters
If both players on a team use the same codex, that team may take 1 (one) special character.
Yes, this counts against the units above. You don't get extra characters because you took a special character.
Scoring :
Scoring will be done as follows. Note that I'm telling you the criteria in advance, so you can make sure you get as many points as possible when you build your army.
- Victory Points: 60 points (20 per battle)
- Theme: 9 points (judged by Leslie, see below)
- Composition: 9 points (judged by Leslie, see below)
- Appearance: 10 points (judged by Leslie, see below)
- Sportsmanship: 12 points (3 per round, plus votes)
Appearance:
- 1 point = All models painted
- 1 point = Models have 3 colors
- 1 point = Shading/highlighting
- 1 point = Base flocked
- 1 point = Consistent army appearance (looks like an army, rather than random collection of figs)
- 5 points = Judge's discretion
Theme:
- 3 points = There was some kind of theme to the army. Theme can be paint scheme, modeling, a story, or any/all of these.
- 3 points = The two armies made sense fighting along side each other. (example: not Lizards and Skaven on a team)
- 3 points = There was some sort of story to go with the army's theme. It could be one sentence, but a something that explains your theme so I know what it is. (example: the Lizardmen and Skinks have united to protect the sacred bling from those who would steal it.)
Composition:
- 3 points = This army contains a good mix of different unit types (ex// not 1000 points' worth of core archers with a hero to lead).
- 3 points = This army list seemed fair and balanced.
- 3 points = The army contained some units larger than minimum size.
Sportsmanship:
3 points per round, scored by opposing team, as follows:
- 1 point = This team was fun to play against.
- 1 point = We either didn't have rules disputes, or if we did, we resolved them peacefully.
- 1 point = We would play this team again, if we could.
At the end of the tournament, each team ranks the teams they played in order, for sportsmanship. For each team that votes this team as #1, a bonus point will be awarded (max 3).
