Three Days of Dice-Rollin', Mini-Bashin', Nacho-Eatin', Friend-Fraggin', Gaming Fun! Dice will be rollin' and the nacho cheese will be flowin' at the Interstate Center again in 2009! FlatCon 2009 was October 2-4, 2009 at the Interstate Center in Bloomington, Illinois.

What makes our con maybe a little different from some other cons is that all prize support goes towards raising money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Gamers for a Cure, a Relay for Life fund raising group, joins us for the third year in a row. Gamers for a Cure will be sponsoring a number of activities, including game demos, silent actions, a build-your-own-sword workshop and the ever imperative Prize Support Raffle. All proceeds raised from your prize support go to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Gamers for a Cure raised over $1,800 dollars in one weekend last year. There is a really nice article about FlatCon over at StupidRanger.com. They did an email interview with David Ross, Aaron Issac, and John Beemsterboer where the boys gave bit of history of FlatCon, highlights of this weekend's planned events, and a peek at the future.
Aaron Isaac of Over the Top Productions will be auctioning off the Space Station. This is a 11’ in diameter self-standing piece of terrain. Lots of detail. Great for Space Hulk or other Sci-Fi rpgs and miniature games. You must transport from the convention site on Sunday. Plan on a van or pick-up truck.
Ever wanted to take some dwarves or orcs and just bash your way through a dungeon, whacking monsters, and grabbing loot? Then, Warlord Xtreme Dungeon is what you're looking for! Leslie Pratt presents this easy-to-learn minis game Friday 2-6 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Choose the tough-as-nails dwarf Ironfist Clan or the ravening hordes of the orcish Blood Claw Clan and try to survive the diabolical dungeon.
